Tech Mahindra Denies Allegations of Divisive Work Environment

Amid ongoing controversy surrounding the TCS conversion racket, a new set of allegations have surfaced online claiming a divisive work environment at Tech Mahindra's Goregaon office in Mumbai. The claims gained traction after a screenshot of a message shared on social media platform X by Ashutosh J. Dubey, an advocate at the Bombay High Court and Head of BJP Maharashtra SM Legal & Advisory Dept, went viral. Dubey stated that the message was sent to him by an anonymous employee of the company.

However, Tech Mahindra has strongly denied the allegations, stating that an internal review found the claims to be "inaccurate and unfounded." This development comes close on the heels of the controversy at Tata Consultancy Services' Nashik campus, where some team leaders were arrested over alleged sexual harassment and forced religious conversion. The matter remains under investigation.

The viral message alleged religious bias in hiring, uneven enforcement of workplace rules, and preferential treatment for certain employees during religious occasions at the Goregaon campus. The post also raised concerns about the role of a Human Resources official in recruitment practices and claimed discomfort with the workplace environment. The message further urged that the matter be brought to the attention of Anand Mahindra.

The authenticity of the message and the allegations has not been independently verified. In response to the controversy, a Tech Mahindra spokesperson said that the company takes such concerns seriously and conducted an internal review, which found these claims to be inaccurate and unfounded.

| Company | Allegations | Response | | --- | --- | --- | | Tech Mahindra | Religious bias in hiring, uneven enforcement of workplace rules, preferential treatment for certain employees | Claims are "inaccurate and unfounded" | | Tata Consultancy Services | Sexual harassment and forced religious conversion | Matter remains under investigation |

Tech Mahindra is committed to building an inclusive, respectful workplace where every individual is treated with dignity and fairness, without discrimination of any kind, including on the basis of religion. The company will continue to review its policies and processes to ensure that its values are upheld consistently, and that no coercive or inappropriate conduct is permitted or carried out in any manner that lacks transparency or accountability.
