AvenuesAI Develops On-Premise AI Models to Address Data Security Concerns
AvenuesAI has started developing fully on-premise artificial intelligence models through its subsidiary PhroneticAI, targeting companies that want to keep their data within internal systems. According to a report by ANI, the company is building a platform based on small language models (SLMs), designed to be deployed entirely within a client's infrastructure so that no data leaves the organisation's servers.
This move comes as firms reassess how they use AI systems that rely on external servers. Chairman and Managing Director Vishal Mehta noted that companies are increasingly concerned about data security and privacy while using artificial intelligence tools. The developments involving OpenAI and Anthropic have raised concerns globally about data independence and control.
Mehta stated that companies handling sensitive information are increasingly evaluating whether their data could be exposed when processed through third-party platforms. This concern was highlighted by a mid-2025 incident involving Nayara Energy, where Microsoft temporarily suspended cloud and email services citing compliance with European Union sanctions. Nayara challenged the move in the Delhi High Court, and services were restored within days.
AvenuesAI's on-premise AI models, developed by PhroneticAI, are designed to process enterprise data across formats including documents, spreadsheets, audio, video and images. The platform includes tools for monitoring and retraining models within the organisation's system. AvenuesAI aims to build systems that clients can operate independently after deployment, without requiring continued backend access from the vendor.
| Model Type | Parameters | | --- | --- | | Small Language Models (SLMs) | 1 billion to 10 billion |
The company's move is a response to growing concerns about data security and the risks associated with outsourcing digital services. Despite contractual safeguards, companies remain cautious about sharing sensitive data with external AI providers.
