TCS Forms Independent Panel to Investigate Nashik Incident, Denies Nida Khan's Involvement in HR or Recruitment

Detailed Analysis

Tata Consultancy Services Launches Investigation into Nashik Facility Sexual Harassment Incident

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has initiated a formal independent investigation into the sexual harassment incident at its Nashik facility, with the aim of ensuring transparency and credibility throughout the process. The IT major has appointed external experts to support the internal inquiry, which will be led by Aarthi Subramanian, President and COO of TCS.

A dedicated Oversight Committee, chaired by independent director Keki Mistry, has been formed to receive the investigation's findings and act on any resulting recommendations. The company has also onboarded Deloitte and law firm Trilegal as independent counsel to support the internal inquiry.

In a statement addressing media inaccuracies, TCS CEO and MD K Krithivasan clarified that Nida Khan, whose name has appeared in press reports with the designation of HR manager, held no such title or authority within the organisation. Khan worked as a process associate without any leadership responsibilities and was not involved in recruitment functions.
