HDFC Asset Management Company Reports Disappointing Q4 Results
HDFC Asset Management Company has released its financial results for the fourth quarter, showing a decline in net profit and revenue compared to street expectations. The company posted a net profit of Rs 623.3 crore, falling short of the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of Rs 644 crore.
The company's revenue for the quarter also came in below estimates, at Rs 1,051 crore, compared to the poll expectation of Rs 1,056 crore. On a sequential basis, HDFC AMC's performance weakened significantly, with net profit declining 19 percent from Rs 769 crore in the previous quarter. Additionally, revenue fell 2.2 percent from Rs 1,075 crore.
Despite the disappointing results, the company's board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 54 per share for shareholders. The dividend proposal will be subject to approval by the company's shareholders at the upcoming annual general meeting.
