Adani Green Energy Reports 72.6% Increase in Consolidated Net Profit
Adani Green Energy, a leading renewable energy firm, has posted a significant increase in its consolidated net profit in the latest quarter. The company reported a net profit of Rs 397 crore, a 72.6 percent jump from the same quarter last year. In Q4FY25, the firm had posted a profit of Rs 230 crore.
The company's quarterly total income rose 14 percent to Rs 3,502 crore, driven by strong power sales and renewable expansion. Revenue from power supply increased by 16 percent to Rs 3,094 crore, while EBITDA from the segment rose 20 percent to Rs 2,944 crore. The revenue from renewable power generation and other related ancillary activities also saw a significant increase of 25 percent to Rs 3,274 crore. This segment recorded a profit of Rs 427 crore, up 52 percent year-over-year.
The growth in revenue and EBITDA was primarily driven by the addition of 5.1 GW of greenfield capacity in FY26. As of 31st March, 2026, the group's renewable generation operational capacity stood at 19,294 MW, a significant increase from 14,243 MW as of 31st March, 2025.
Despite the growth, finance costs remained high, rising 19 percent to Rs 1,626 crore for the quarter ended March 31. This accounted for about 52 percent of the company's total expenses.
Shares of Adani Green Energy were up 2.42 percent at Rs 1,243.6 apiece at NSE as of 2:45 pm on April 24.
For the full year, operational capacity increased by 35 percent year-on-year to 19.3 GW. The company reported a 22 percent year-on-year increase in revenue from power supply to Rs 11,602 crore. However, volume growth outpaced this, with energy sales increasing 35 percent year-on-year to 37,567 mn units.
Adani Green plans to achieve 30 GW of operational capacity by 2030. The company's net debt stood at Rs 91,252 crore as of FY26, up from Rs 64,462 crore reported last year. Net debt to EBITDA has risen to 5.6x in the year compared to 5.1x in FY25. Full year finance costs rose 18 percent to Rs 6,484 crore.
